I have always loved to be creative and to have others enjoy what I make.  It brings me joy to think of my items being used in everyday life; this is when they become something more.

The process of making pottery has become something I’m truly passionate about. It begins with the clay, shaping, and forming. The beauty of taking something so elemental and transforming it to give the clay a new life.

The other aspect that I love about pottery is how each piece is glazed. Being a painter has given me the ambition to really work with the glazes and to create different interactions of color.  I create visually pleasing glaze paintings on each piece I make. The different glaze interactions continue to excite me and drive me to keep on experimenting.
